Remeha boilers provide top-class heating at Sunderland College
Two Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers have been specified at Sunderland College to provide energy-efficient heating at its newly-opened £22 million Sports and Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) facilities.
The new Sports and VPA buildings, designed by architects Redbox Design, offer students at the College’s Bede Campus access to some of the best facilities in the country, including a new sports science laboratory, fitness suites, a treatment room, sports halls, a film screening suite, dance, drama, recording and media studios, as well as a full sized performance venue. Ensuring a warm and comfortable learning environment are two Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers that deliver reliable, high-performance, high-efficiency heating and hot water throughout the contemporary, new build development.
The quality design extends to the installation of the Remeha boilers. David Wright, Director at Desco and M&E Consulting Engineer on the project commented,

The Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers, which assisted in meeting the ‘Very Good’ BREEAM target rating achieved by the Sports and VPA buildings, join a whole range of Remeha boilers at Sunderland College, specified for their generic design, environmental credentials and renowned reliability.
The main contractor on the Sports and VPA buildings project was BAM Construction; M&E Contractor was Castle Building Services led by Matty Mitchell.
The Remeha Gas 310/610 Eco Pro range of fully assembled, free-standing, fully-modulating boilers are available in 5 to 10 sections with outputs from 51 to 1202 kW. Lightweight and compact, they are small enough to fit through any standard doorway and can be dissembled when necessary, for versatile, flexible installation design. With higher than average annual efficiencies of up to 109.6% NCV and ultra-low NOx and carbon emissions, they deliver reliable, energy-saving heating in new build and renovation projects.
