Leading boiler supplier Remeha announces the appointment of new MD

Remeha, the UK’s quality boiler supplier, announces the retirement of its managing director of 21 years, Brian Price, and the appointment as MD of Mark Northcott, formerly commercial products director.

Brian Price joined Remeha in 1985, becoming MD in 1990. Under his guidance, Remeha achieved impressive growths in the company’s size and profits in both the commercial and latterly domestic sectors. During Brian Price’s tenure as MD, Remeha became the market leader in the supply of condensing boiler technology, introducing their first condensing boiler to the London Borough of Merton in 1985.

Remeha remains at the forefront of new heating technologies today. Over the last 21 years, Remeha Commercial has also been a pioneer in low NOx combustion technology and, more recently, in the low or zero carbon (LZC) energy field with the successful introduction of a range of commercial biomass boilers.

Mark Northcott will be working closely with Brian Price over the next few months to ensure a smooth handover of the business.

Remeha thank Mr Price for his considerable contribution to the business over the last 21 years and, together with all his colleagues at Remeha Commercial, wish him a long and happy retirement.

Mark Northcott joined Remeha in 2000 as area sales manager for the East Midlands. He was subsequently appointed as national sales manager in 2007, becoming commercial products director in 2008. Now, three years later, he is to take over the reins as MD Remeha Commercial with effect from 1 June 2011.

“This is a time of change for the heating sector,” says Mark Northcott, “with the drive for carbon reduction presenting an exciting challenge and opportunity for our industry. Remeha is renowned as a centre of excellence and market leader. Going forward, Remeha will continue to invest in the development of LZC technologies and introduce the best of these new renewable products, which have been given a major impetus by the RHI. Remeha’s unique offering of high performance renewable solutions and high efficiency, ultra low NOx emission commercial boilers, makes Remeha a one stop shop for the multiple equipment choices that will make up the new low carbon boiler house.”

Remeha Commercial is a major company in the UK heating industry with a reputation for quality, reliability and excellence. With Remeha’s outstandingly efficient boiler range, advanced biomass technology and commercial solar thermal and gas absorption heat pumps appearing this year and next, Remeha’s heating solutions will continue to lead the field as it works towards a more environmentally friendly, sustainable future.
