Renewable Heat Incentive Payments for biomass heating in commercial, industrial and domestic community installations now available
Global climate change is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. One of the major causes of climate change is the emission of carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels.
The UK government has set a steep target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 34% by 2020 and 80% by 2050 (from base 1990 levels). It has also set a target to source 15% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 from its current figure of 7%.
Biomass boilers are the most efficient means of getting heating equipment to run on low to zero carbon fuel. What’s more, with the introduction of Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments, financial support is now available for biomass boilers installed in commercial, industrial and domestic community projects.
Let’s assume you have a 150kW biomass boiler operating at a load factor of 30%. If you are eligible for the scheme, you will receive 19,513 per annum.
At Remeha Commercial, we offer superior, state-of-the-art biomass boilers ranging from 12.5kW to 2000kW with an increased service life due to their modulating outputs.
Added to this, we offer unequalled technical expertise and backup, essential for the smooth installation and running of biomass. Our extensive experience covers all sectors from retail to historic buildings, with outputs ranging from 120kW to 2000kW. Recent installations include the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery, Stansted Airport, Asda, Bootle, Inverary Castle and Walthamstow Academy add links. If you would like more details on the RHI click here or visit www.ofgem.gov.uk/rhi
Or get in touch – we’ll be pleased to advise on both the RHI payments and biomass installations.
