The EPDB (2010/31/EU) is a key piece of EU legislation which is enacted in the UK legislative framework through local regulations.

It aims to reduce energy consumption in buildings. As heating and hot water are key consumers of energy, it's important that commercial heating products comply.

EPBD influences the development of revisions to Part L of the Building Regulations and the key driver behind the legal requirement for Display Energy Certificates (DEC’s) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s).

You can find more information on the EPBD on the EU's website.
