When the time came to replace the existing boilers, Galliford Try, the school's Facilities Management provider, chose to upgrade to Remeha boilers to improve the efficiency and reliability of the heating service.
The two-phase replacement programme was scheduled to be carried out during the school holiday periods when the building was empty.
Spa Gas, the heating contractor, recommended installing a total of three Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers to meet the heat output requirement.
John Ierston, Partner at Spa Gas commented:
"A key consideration was to retrofit the new boilers within the tight, fixed schedule required by the school.
"The Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers provided flexible design options for faster installation. All of which meant they were the best boilers of the plant room" John Ierston, Partner, Spa Gas
"The small footprint of the Gas 310 Eco Pros provided more flexible design options and therefore faster installation. They are also delivered on wheels, which made them easier to move into and around the plant room.
"All of which meant that they were the best boilers for the plant room".
With all three Remeha boilers now operational, Tristan Mitchell, Facilities Manager at Galliford Try, is pleased with their performance.
He said “We find Remeha boilers more reliable and more efficient than other brands and easy to maintain. The new Gas 310 Eco Pros have not only improved the heating performance at Mulberry School, but they are far quieter too!
“We will be installing further Remeha replacement boilers in the second plant room this summer in a continuation of the heating refurbishment programme”.
With their excellent high efficiencies, ultra-low NOx emissions and renowned reliability, the new Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro boilers will not only cut running costs at Mulberry School but create the optimum comfortable, productive learning environment for their students.
